Dungeons are only hard for first time and they are still fine to do even with a whole team of first timers. But Extreme and Savage will take you lots of wipes to figure out the mechanics

Some of the hardest dungeons (in my opinion) are actually some of the leveling dungeons where the scaling spikes unexpectedly, such as Stone Vigil, Brayflox Longstop, or the level 73 dungeon.

@last kayak They can. When you unlock BRD, you can speak to an NPC near the amphitheater in Gridania to unlock the ability to play music out of combat.

The "dots" are the inventory quick view, and can be turned off in... character settings, I think is where that one is.
