many people are terrible, actually, and clear every floor just fine

To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Once you've done the initial unlock quest, you will be given a soul crystal which you must equip to become your class' job.

'How can I unlock Flying?'

Flying is unlocked through the collecting of a zone's Aether Currents, with every zone having ten 'green' Aether Currents found in the overworld and five 'yellow' Aether Currents obtained through the MSQ and side quests marked with a plus sign. Once you rank up enough in your grand company, you unlock something called "Expert Delivery", where you can turn in gear from dungeons and other places for GC seals. Good to get whatever you want from your GC store, then just buy materials to sell on marketboard.

How do I get Grand Company Seals?

Once you are Sergeant 2nd Class you can turn in Pink/Green/Blue-rarity gear in exchange for more seals.

with low CP, you can't really pull the Great Strides Byregot's combo effectively

well, you can, but it'd be a waste since you cannot reach a high number of Inner Quiet stacks

so you're stuck with hasty touch hoping for high stacks

But again, I'm too tired atm to plug your stats into teamcraft. You should experiment with trial synth and find a rotation that works with your stats.
