go through it one class is better because you don't have your armory bonus to rely on getting quicker exp. armory bonus is a bonus exp that applies to your classes/jobs below your highest one. if you wanna to gun straight through the msq which locks almost all the content behind it, its best to just focus on playing and leveling one job.
not to say you have to, but everytime you switch, you're gonna have to get the additional exp from somewhere (likely hunting logs or side quest) to catch up to the msq level requirement until better means of leveling (palace of the dead) become more accessible. @formal estuary
also depends if you're on a prefered world and got the road to 70 buff cause they tend to over level your class and you can get away with having multiple jobs and keep up with the msq requirement with barely an issue

I am from EU and I wanna get back into FFXIV. I've only leveled to 30 and I have two friends (one in NA and one in EU) and so I wanna start over, in one of their servers.
Is the population in NA bigger than in EU? And is it like worth at all to go play NA servers?
I fear that I won't be able to play with NA people cause of my timezone.
I kinda wanna settle w NA, cause people just seem nicer and everyone speaks english.. but- would latency and timezone be a big issue? Or are there so many players, that I'll always find people to hang with?
And at what time are typically raids?

All classes are viable and pretty well-balanced.
At the moment bard is marginally the weakest of the three physical ranged dps, assuming a party plays optimally
but you won't lose places in a party for playing bard.
A player's skill level is a much bigger factor than job selection.
