@patent citrus the balance discord (ffxiv) has a good gear progression list for DoH/DoL with lists of vendors/recommendations. When I was leveling my crafters and gatherers I mainly used the yellow scrip gear to level. There's some at lvl 58 and 70. (the 70 gear carries you to 80). I filled in the gaps with a few bought pieces/class quest pieces.

yep! it's expensive especially when starting out. I recommend doing custom deliveries and trading in the yellow scrips you get for the 58/70 gear! They're pretty good.
