Yes, you can play with an incorrect birthdate and get support to change it later. Although it was a pain for me. Chat support made me play a hot/cold guessing game with it.

Hi, I started a couple weeks ago and very recently today applied for a home world moving from Ragnarok (Standard) to Louisoix (Preferred). I have read from the home world FAQ that "Preferred World: Relatively sparsely populated World with room to spare. Players who transfer to or create new characters on these Worlds will receive special bonuses." and thus was under the assumption I would gain the exp bonus granted to characters created on preferred worlds. However even after getting the email confirmation that my transfer has completed and seeing that change reflected both in game and on the lodestar website, I still don't appear to have the exp buff. If anyone knew whether I don't get the buff or have done something wrong any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Which leads me to my second issue. I queued up for the Titan fight but instead it brought me to Brayflox's Longstop even though I did NOT queue for that! I just checked my duty list and the Titan fight is still checked proving that I selected it but it does not say that I am queued for anything!!! I accidentally activated the teleport command instead of the return command so I hit circle to cancel out after it brought up the list but instead of canceling, it took me to my brother-in-law's free company house instead of closing the window. Why did it do this? Are you not allowed to cancel a teleport so it just automatically picked the thing at the top of the list and took me there when I hit circle on my controller?

OK, here's why we are recommending you to go with poetics gear. If you are grinding level with Palace of the Dead or Heaven on High, it doesn't matter what you wear.
If you are queueing for dungeons and what not, eventually you will not be able to keep up if you try to bypass your gearing process

Depends on your party:
Seiryu: the last EX in Stormblood, plus he has a pretty nasty double tank swap mechanic.
Tsukuyomi: the black/white moon phase mechanics is very deadly, even when unsync
Suzaku: invuln stacks making it increasing more taxing for the healers. you can get push out or draw in, either of these can drop you off the arena
Shinryu: haven't done this unsync yet, but I can imagine people screwing up some of the mechanics in final phase and snowball into a wipe

If I have to pick a hardest, I would say Shinryu, only because there are so many mechanics, and depending on your party, you might sometimes skip a specific mechanic,but not always, so everyone need to adapt to skips on the fly.
