You can also post something worthless on the market board for the gil as char B (take tax in to account) and buy it with char A. You'll lose a bit due to the tax though. I did this to transfer gil from an old character to my current

Theres no logic to including server time really. Click on the timer itself to cycle between server time, et (in game time) and local time
