gear has a substats limit, it can only have so much of a stat so u melded materia with a stat but the gear had it allrdy on max so its +0 but game also tells u the limit when u have the meld window open

I heard in that dragoon was eaisly able to secure its raid spot due to one buff and thats the 10% crit is that still a viable reason for people to pick me into raids or thats not the case anymore since perhaps other classes have same or better buffs in the recent times

Also all jobs are viable for all content, the balancing is pretty good across the board

I'm a new player who recently bought the Complete Edition. I was looking forward to finishing ARR after playing for long periods of time for the past 4 days as I wanted to switch to DK and be done with ARR's story.
At this point however, I am now waiting for half an hour queuing for a raid as I believe this is part of the questline that eventually leads up to the crystal tower which lets me unlock the MSQ.
Am I mistaken and just doing everything wrong or do I really have to raid before I get to Heavensward? The queue time alone is insanely time consuming. Please give me advice on how to proceed.

@prisma glacier No, you'll still be using Stone II and Aero II almost exclusively at level 45 where I'm at. I mean, you are a pure healer so big damage isn't your deal. You are near invincible in PvE with healing but at the cost of being squishy and doing poor damage. The White Mage however can be quite offensive in the late game with their unique mechanic
