@weary burrow Solo, the best way is to just kill mobs that are a few levels higher than you, moving around as you catch up to the mob levels.
There's a really good spot near the Kobold Dig where you can one-shot level 43-ish mobs with 1000 Needles. Just stand still, grab the mobs in with Sticky Tongue, then nuke them with Needles.
Rinse and repeat.
But yeah, the Flying Sardine strat is best if you have a level 80 friend.

If you're soloing as BLU, unless you're level 60 and have a bunch of decent AoE spells + dps or tank aetherial spec, you don't want to be pulling more than a couple of mobs at a time

Hey all, I've tried googling this a million different ways can't find an answer. I'm fairly new and just started playing this week. I'm an archer at level 55 trying to grow my Bard job skills, and I am so lost on how to unlock job quests. I completed the first one "A Song of Bards and Bowmen," (shows up in my Journal as completed) yet Mage's Ballad skill that I supposedly unlocked doesn't show up under my Actions/Traits panel, despite the game telling me it was available at the time of completion.
And the next job quest, The Archer's Anthem (lvl 35 requirement) shows up as red/locked, despite having finished the first one that should unlock it. Any thoughts on how I can progress to the 2nd job quest? I thought progressing the main story would help but I'm so far along now that doesn't seem to be the case

"mechanical skill" - what does that even mean? Almost every mechanic is "stand in the thing" / "dont stand in the thing". The exceptions to this are mostly located in Savage/EX/Ult
