'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. Paladin is a really fun tank. It's my main. Just keep in mind that you're really squishy until you get Sentinel and Hallowed Ground. So don't go too hard on pulls @deft quiver
And you don't need to do POTD as a tank. Just queue dungeons normally after hitting 16

because you need to unlock potd

once potd is unlocked, then you can start at level 1 if you so desire

Fishing retainers have a more limited selection to choose from if you mean that

The main value from them comes from their 18 hour venture-exclusive items since not many people go for fishing retainers in the first place.

Depends. If you can keep up with the maintenance, quick will level it faster but it requires being on top of it every hour and will cost a lot more ventures. The 18 hour exploration is overall easier for leveling and you're not really going to get good drops until you can get it to 80 and at least get it with Deepshadow gear.

@finite swift Fishing always has an RNG factor to it. you'll get abilities that can help minimize it but you can't really get rid of it.

The most reliable way of getting particular fish is leveling a fishing retainer then you can send them out to get that specific fish, but it's a rather limited list.
