Mor Dhona has a shop where you can spent Tomestones of Poetics to get a weapon. You should have 600 of those (enough for a weapon) after you do the MSQ finale at 50
You can go to Gridania to pick up Lancer (which becomes Dragoon), it's gonna start at level 1 though

Bear in mind, until crafting something is easily done for you, there's a chance the quck synth with fail.
And once you hit the mark where success is guaranteed, you have a chance to het HQ results though it's random.
