So pick up the free 430 gear from Grenoldt, and you can get accessories from the three initial level 80 dungeons of ||Amaurot||, The Twinning, and Akadaemia Anyder (the latter two being available upon completion of 5.0)
The ilevel from that should be sufficient to get you into E1-4 and Copied Factory.
Doing that content will also earn you phantasmagoria and allegory tomestones as you go, which can be used to purchase additional gear.

As a newbie I was confused by that soul crystal part as well. I did not have it in my inventory as expected. But I think when I clicked on the empty slot with right or left it opened the equipment chest on the correct page, where I could select the crystal.

also /recast is a thing, but not really for that exactly. It's more really for oGCDs with longer cd timers. Basically it'll display the time left before it's available if it's already been used. If not, it won't display anything. So using it on GCDs won't do anything unless you like, press it right after you press the GCD, but there's not especially a point to that

@mossy crown Black Mage is straightforward: direct a corridor of magical bombardment from a chosen spot and just blast, blast, blast. It maintains this with a sort of overheat system involving fire and ice spells back and forth.
Summoner is a little less direct, dealing a lot of damage via poisons and a battle companion. It’s also more mobile than the black mage.
Red mage isn’t til later, but you can jump right into it when you get there. It’s less damaging and more mobile than the other two, but has more utility, like healing.
