You might well be able to squeeze 1.5-2 months out of it if you did all that, and thats still assuming 7-8 hours a day, i think.

If you wanna compare each ARR and each expansion to a single player RPG it'd be about 40 hrs each if you just do the main story. But there is enough side content you could double or even triple that, in each case.

It took me and my friends around 150 hours to complete ARR. And we played through it really slowly. There is tons of stuff to do, probably upwards of 200 hours of content. 120 of them being story, and that's if you play pretty quick

Mounts FAQ

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Travel between cities is essentially impossible prior to level 15 in the Main Quests, and takes a whole whopping 5 seconds for the 65 levels afterwards.

Hey all, was watching a video from about... a year ago talking about the ninja's low DPS output when compared to how complex of a DPS it is.

I'm just wondering if that's still the case. In this video they say that an update was coming and perhaps it might fix ninja so that it's complexity can be rewarded.

So my question is: How does ninja fair today? Are they one of the top DPS or are they pretty bottom of the barrel?

@tidal yarrow White Mage, Scholar and Astro are all different flavors of healing. The same goal of keeping the party alive but with different toolkits. They all have single target and AOE heals and a bunch of other utility spells. You may prefer one over the other - I believe Astro is the most APM complex, from what I've read, but I haven't tried it yet.

What's a recruiter code and why couldn't you get that 1 mil gil if you were on the trial when hitting level 30?

If you want to do more, they can be leveled by via venture and gather items for you

Take note that they cannot outlevel you in the job/class you assign them

@wise acorn There are a lot of items you can make that sell well for high prices at level 62 BSM. Just check the Market Board; it’s different for most servers and time periods. Many times a high selling item will have its market flooded and then sell for half of what it previously was selling for. For example, I made 5 Titanium Forks 3 of which sold for 90k. However the last 2 only sold for 20k, because other BSMs flooded the market with Forks lol

1. SSS does not account for a job’s RDPS contribution via skills like Battle Voice
2. SSS is a 3 minute burst window where you adjust your rotation to fit in that period and does not reflect a realistic raid scenario
3. Different jobs will be in peaks and troughs of their burst windows
4. Different jobs have different SSS dps requirements
5. SSS is not accurately tuned for the jobs they are supposed to represent in most cases

@tidal yarrow IMO I'd use them to replace your weakest slots of gear since 5.3 will allow you to upgrade Neo-Ishgardian gear to i490 with Phantasmagoria

But in terms of effective stat gain, the priority is Weapon (once you have enough E8N tokens to exchange for it) > Chest/Legs > Head/Arms/Boots > Belt > Accessories.
