@wanton shadow a LPT in general: if you click on the MSQ tracker, it brings up the quest location of your next/current quest. Same with job quests. For sidequests, click on the quest objective (say: "Obtain 3 Useless Key Items" to bring up the map instead.

Deepshadow gear first, then crystarium if you can afford it. Neo-ishgard should definitely be a priority if you have appropriately leveled crafters/gatherers, or willingness to expend the gil. Idealized gear is really nice if you can clear memoria. At any rate, definitely get resistance weapon for all your main classes. It costs 1k poetics per.

@mild ermine Ocean fishing is a source of massive XP. You unlock fisher and you're already ready to go! The unlock quest is at the fishermen's guild. Then, every other hour (which is even hours for GMT, GMT-2, and so on) you have from :00 to :15 to queue up at the Limsa port, past the airship gates at the arcanist's guild. You just go and catch as much fish as you can. XP is adjusted for your level, like the diadem, so you'll always get great XP. i did 11-76 solely by ocean. If you google 'ocean fishing', you'll find tons of guides on how to get the most points, which baits to use etc. Just make sure to bring a manual and at least 100-150 of each fish type if you want to make a career out of ocean, or just 2-3 versatile lures if you want to get a feel for it first. I hit 80 a while ago, but still do ocean fishing, because it also gives great gatherer's scrips.
if you want the xp only, you can leave the ocean at :14 and queue up again for a second voyage
