when you get higher level you can use skills to increase odds, but otherwise, it's mostly size based

and size is random aside from using skills that increase HQ chances, even then its still random

you hover over the collectible fish and it shows you the size, you'd have to get a certain size depending on the fish, so its different per fish

HQ has a minimum size, but collectible fish the collectability is based on the size range of the fish.

oh then its in the fishing journal, and its posted when you catch it

ishgard restoration fishing and ocean boat fishing is probably best if you're leveling. if you want scrip, botany and mining is more reliable

GC turn-ins at your grand company just looks at HQ/NQ with HQ doubling the experience you get, ishgardian restoration if you're far enough in MSQ, or else the fishing boat every 2 hours is it?

when ocean fishing pops in limsa, usually theres a boat or two that will fill up with randos. you get better XP if there's more, but yeah its totally fine if you're the only one on, if it still goes

So I have a question in regards to the albums? I’m assuming contrary the statement on Square’s website that newer print runs of them still include codes much like Cygames does it with Granblue, so assuming that is the case, my question is does anyone know if the digital copies on sites like Mora also have codes included with them? Reason I’m asking is because I’m stuck between wanting the mora album since it’s 24bit 96khz for the hi-res tracks, but I also want minions (especially Suzaku.) This question however is moot if like how they state on the website, only first print copies come with codes (though considering high demand I doubt Square would do that to players if it’s a product that isn’t necessarily designed for a highly limited print I.E. a CE or LE of an album.)

For anyone familiar with purchasing merch that is.

@compact musk I'm pretty sure only the physical albums from the square enix store and major retailers will give out the code. I've never heard of Mora so I'll have to double-check them

How come as a Schalor i cant use Energy Drain?

Scholar's toolkit is entirely different from arcanist. They get a different version of Energy Drain and the Aetherflow gauge at 45.

Basically Scholar's Aetherflow gauge points are earned from using Aetherflow, and Energy Drain is your damage option for spending them instead of using them to heal.

I kinda expected that to be the case I suppose. And yeah, Mora’s actually a really popular digital service for JP only peeps. It’s also really one of the only places on the net that carries some of the highest resolution audio from popular Japanese games and anime. Which is why I’m stuck debating between the two as the audio on the blu-ray format I think is still either AAC or maybe slightly higher than the standard 16bit 44.1khz.

If you want to maximize the efficiency of your crafting leves only turn in HQ items

leves get better at 50 since you dont have to run around the world to turn them in, but do 3-4 a day

just to keep the leve resets going

It's completely up to you, there's no inherent advantage of unlocking multiple/all classes in terms of gameplay.

Way back when, it was a necessity, because you need a very specific dow/m class to be at lvl 15+ before you can advance your primary dow/m class to a job at lvl 30 (this is probably why your friend got their info)

However, it was changed a long while ago. If you want to, you can ride a single job all the way to the end.

Glamour Dresser FAQ

"What is the Glamour Dresser?"

The Glamour Dresser allows you to glamour an entire set of equipment at once when in a city or town. You can find the dresser in your inn room at any of the Adventurer's guilds.

"How do I use it?"

In order to use the Glamour Dresser you need to first put the items you want to use for glamour inside of it. This requires a one-time cost of one Glamour Prism per item. You're able to safely take out the items, but you'll need to pay another Glamour Prism to put it back into the Dresser. After you have put in the glamour items you want to use for your set you'll want to click on "Edit Glamour Plates".

When the plate window opens up you can select the stored glamours you have onto the slots of the plate to create the set you desire. Once you're satisfied with your glamour click on "Save". You can now apply your Glamour Plate by accessing the Character menu, clicking the Glamour Plate button, and choosing the Plate that you have made.

You still need to complete all of the MSQ up to 5.3. The newly listed requirements are additions, not replacements.

no, that post means that the Crystal Tower Raid series and the chocobo side quests are mandatory to be completed before you are able to do the 5.3 msq provided you're at that point

it's based on MSQ progress for some zones, and riding maps for others

however while it's not relevant, sounds like you're referring to the Suzaku Ex mount from stormblood

Archer/Bard is pretty flat to play in single-target situations until 54. In AoE scenarios, its still....not interesting, but it at least becomes extremely good at it at 45.

No I understood you completely but I think we just have different gauges for what "suffers little" means @unique oasis

You assign them a class by talking to the retainer vocate

And you equip gear by interacting with the summoning bell and going to "view retainer attributes and status"

It will open up a menu for you thats like your character menu

And you equip stuff from there

Directly from your own armoury chest
