I currently have 4 battle jobs at 80, all crafters and gatherers at 80, and all other battle jobs at 70 or above.

The thing with Sprout status, is that you can pretty much maintain that for a really really long time. I'm fairly certain i was "sprout" and had my four 80's at level 78-79.

So it can be quite deceiving

DoL materials tend to be that way, particularly stuff from normal nodes

If we're talking purely DoL only, then no, you're not going to really get big returns out of ventures

But, if you have DoH as well, you can be sending your DoL retainers out to farm for you so that you dont have to do it yourself, or to shorten the timeframe.

Which can help you craft stuff faster

i took it theres some unwritten rule where you want like 1 botanist+miner retainer for every 1 combat retainer you have based on threads I saw on retainer job selections but I couldnt see why if they share quick venture pools and the lv80 materials are so cheap. I didnt look at older material lists though

I reset my third retainer from 35 blm to botanist to fit in with my whm and min retainers so I didnt know if that was a bad choice or not lol

The game has a bot problem kind of but not really. They use various exploits to power characters through, but they also get banned pretty reliably. You generally only see them in lower level zones such as the one you're in.

@leaden ginkgo Personal preference. GLD turns into Paladin (PLD). MRD turns into Warrior (WAR). PLD at late game becomes a half-caster / half-melee tank for lack of a better description. WAR is all about burst windows and massive self healing.

I did quite like the idea of Conjurer but read its hard to level early and you only have two spells for a long period of time

Bard is....boring to play early on, and arguably one dimensional but thats personal bias

The thing you have to understand with Bard, is that while it does bring party buffs, it effectively is doing so in a semi-passive manner. Like, there's essentially a rotation of "songs" but what it really works out to be is "Press Song 1. 30 seconds later press Song 2. 30 seconds later press Song 3. 20 seconds later press Song 1 again.".

You're not really "choosing to throw out some buffs". You're always providing them, and doing so in a very static rotational way.

Conjurer (later White Mage) is not "hard to level" early on, as some people might mislead you to think.

Most of the healers only have 2-3 damage spells, but they get upgraded as time goes on.

One other thing to keep in mind is that in group content - healers are expected to DPS as well

white mage dps is actually one of the better simply due to the potency of its actual heals

thus allowing more free time to spam stone

@brave seal ast mp management is a bit more awkward, you can do it but you basically need to LD and maybe LS on cooldown

because you're right it doesn't have an actual mp management tool to the extent of aetherflow/energy drain and thin air

and yeah, take your finger off the trigger for a moment and you may realise suddenly you have no mp

making liberal use of all its oGCDs is also essential because they're free and short CD

Queue the highest level dungeon you have access to if you're out of roulettes. HoH is an option, but that's only a thing if you've completed enough POTD to unlock it.

No, highest level dungeon is always good exp - except at level 50/60/70 at which point you should queue the 49/59/69 dungeon because the 50/60/70 dungeons are not good exp.

Yea X only targets the nearest thing to you but prioritizes enemies

It will still pick out allies sometimes regardless

Dpad will actually filter them out when your weapon is drawn

Hunt train runners scout the locations for their spawns and organise a run around

they don't have a lockout, and are thus good for getting your allegory/stellaclusters

and they are, as it goes, very big to the extent where having an army of 30 is heavily recommended

@warped furnace It depends. If you are a tank or healer, yes. If you have access to a player who's either a healer or a tank, yes. If you're dps and don't have access to someone with a tank or healer, PotD is a better choice

So you just need a Disciple of War or Magic at level 50 for SB jobs and 60 for ShB jobs
