Reach level 10 and do your level 10 class quest on your starting class

Then you can unlock all the other classes by walking into their guilds and doing the quest there

if you start in the city that doesn't have rogue, then you have to reach level 15 in the MSQ as well

Why Stone, Sky, Sea is a bad metric to measure DPS

1. SSS does not account for a job’s RDPS contribution via skills like Battle Voice
2. SSS is a 3 minute burst window where you adjust your rotation to fit in that period and does not reflect a realistic raid scenario
3. Different jobs will be in peaks and troughs of their burst windows
4. Different jobs have different SSS dps requirements
5. SSS is not accurately tuned for the jobs they are supposed to represent in most cases
6. 3 minutes is short enough to be able to be affected by lucky DH Crit bursts
7. Certain jobs gain dps by having additional party members like Dancer/Monk

an easy way to figure out what quests you need to do is go to the sea of clouds (or ishgard where i think it starts) and change to a level 50 crafting class. one of the quest markers should be become a blue unlock quest marker and you can follow that chain until its done

I found out that quest isn't actually hard if you remember you have a buff your char can use.

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.
