Almost everyone gets distracted at level 50. There's a lot of 
content that opens up there since it was the end of the first part of the game, and then there's the 100-ish

Question, do you use Holmgang at all in dungeons or should it only be used in raids? I've been learning Warrior, but I'm used to Superbolide where it's pretty obvious to the healer that you just used your invuln and you're not that hard to heal because they have some time to heal before you take damage again
With Holmgang it feels like they'd actually have to see I have Holmgang up then I'd be hard to heal back up while taking damage

Is doing solo content as a DPS significantly faster? I know that was the case in WoW, I used to do everything as tank and when I switched to DPS it was a game changer. I'm wondering if it would be quicker/more fun to do MSQ as RDM and level DRK on the side for group content.

@frozen karma if its a card thats not useful to your party (melee card but you have all ranged team) you can redraw it. but you can always just cast it to someone unconventional like the tank

For example, WoW had reputations you needed to grind with dailies to get a particular item or transmog. They also have systems in each patch to grind, such as Corruption in the current patch. But there is also the weekly chest as a bonus. How is FFXIV? Would you say it's easier/harder/longer/shorter? Looking for a perspective, as I never reached end game FFXIV.

but regardless, the gil you spend on repairs ends up being pretty insignificant

It's best not to level multiple characters concurrently. Rather level them consecutively - I have characters on 5 different datacenters, all leveled long-ways, but none leveled through the same content at the same time.
