I'm only a level 50 scholar so far so pardon my inexperience, but from what I can tell, am I supposed to hold on to my aetherflow stacks and just use Lustrate and Energy Drain to weave off an instant spell like Bio II/Ruin II/Art of War? Or should I be trying to use all these stacks before Aetherflow comes back up, even if it's not between ogcd's?

There's a kind of rhythm to it. Don't burn them too quickly and have nothing for 50 seconds but don't keep them until CD.

Black Mage is made somewhat complicated due to the fact that every few levels, the rotation changes dramatically but by the end, it really isn't as complicated as it seems on the outside.

Mounts FAQ

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

hi is there a setting somewhere to turn off cutscenes in dungeons or at least turn off cutscenes altogether and then when i come out of dungeons i can turn it back on again? im going through arr for my first time and story is my main thing but ive only just realised nobody else is watching cutscenes with me and i get left behind by the party because of it. id rather watch the scenes afterwards and not hold things up! any help thanks ^^

No, at level 30 you unlock the ability to get job crystals. Which are crystals you equip to turn into the endgame jobs.

@cyan elm Teleport for the large ones. For the smaller ones in the cities you have to use one of the other shards to teleport to them. You can't teleport to a small one from outside of its city

@molten spruce look at your battle high meter, it usually says KILL or ASSIST based on what you got during the a skirmish. but you can't really see your kda during the match

With the new relic, I have just a small question, is it possible to put 5 type VII materias and still not cap the stat? I tried one myself and was not able to fit all 5 before the stat caps.
