o also i was wondering if anyone could give me their thoughts on something? my friend wants to start doing savage content on tank, but they're newer to tanking so they have trouble with not panicking/hitting the right defensive cooldowns in time for tankbusters and boss mechs while also trying to learn the fight. do you think it would be easier if they progged the fight on a class they're more comfortable on until they're comfier with the mechs and can focus more on their own rotation/abilities, or would that be counterproductive? they were worried that if they run fights on a different class it'll make doing tank mechs instead of dps mechs harder than it would be if they just only learned the fight on tank
i only play dps so idk how easy/hard it is to do a fight on a different role than the one you learned it on

i'm no expert but for me my ping and reaction time is usually bad enough that if i wait for the cast bar to start for the tank buster there is a good chance it will hit me without my cd. i got around this by just "feeling" when the next tank buster is coming

I can't find actual numbers honestly. Phase 1/2/3 can be really forgiving but the check on Phase 4 can be pretty tight
(Forgiving in DPS rotational mistakes, not so much deaths lol)

nothing super high, any competent raider able to parse high purple in savage should be able to do it dps-wise, but ultimates aren't really about dps, after a few days/weeks you'll end up surpassing the enrages by a lot and skipping mechanics, it's a mechanical challenge more than a dps check, and most of all it's a challenge for the integrity of the group and being able to stick together for however long it takes to clear, be it 3 weeks or 3 months @crimson wind

Ok so I just maxed gnb and changed to DNC, from reading all my action commands up to level 60, it seems I have a default 2 move combo for ST and AOE, using the special moves when they come up. Save fourfold feathers for until I get 4 (so I can burst when needed). Use fan dance 1 in between combos for ST and fan dance 2 in between combos for aoe. Whenever it comes up, use standard step and quickly do the 2 steps, then finish it, then go back to normal combo. Generally start a dungeon by casting closed position on the other dps and just leave it that way for the rest of the dungeon
