Since ARR is weird tanks can wear DPS pieces which is why you have to actually look through a bunch of gear and can't just get a filter off only tank gear till level 50 when they change how gear restrictions work

Depending on the time of day, its not a terrible idea to run the highest dungeon using Trust if you're a DPS. Fate grinding is pretty bad exp, and DPS queues at times like right now tend to be miserable.

@ionic hazel Yeah, you customize basically everything about your retainer.
Also once you finish with the hiring process, go towards the main aetheryte plaza in the city and you'll see a quest called An Ill-conceived Venture. It's a short quest where you rescue some other guy's retainer. It unlocks the ability for you to send retainers out on missions to get stuff for you. They have their own levels and you gear them up so they can find better stuff. It's a pretty nice little side thing.
