Gear from level 50 onwards is divided very strictly between roles.
Tanks = Fending
Dragoon = Maiming
Monk, Samurai = Striking
Ninja = Scouting
Physical ranged DPS = Aiming
Magical DPS = Casting
Healers = Healing
Jobs can only equip gear of their specific gear type.
