Some seasonal events sell confetti. You can also buy some if you're getting an in game wedding. There are a ton of various other fireworks and such - sparklers, candles, actual fireworks, etc. - mostly from events.

For a new high level job, I suggest bringing them to a striking dummy, clear your hotbar, add skill back as you use them on the dummy. This helps you organize your hotbar and "level" up the dancer quickly

Honestly, dungeon gear is perfectly serviceable until you finish the 5.0 msq.

if you gonna level weaver, you might as well level all crafters and gatherers. SAM uses leatherworking gear iirc anyways

also I just remembered something. If you can finish the role quests (far enough in the msq) then it unlocks your lv80 class quest, which probably gives you a coffer of left side gear.

People literally finished the dungeon while new players were still in cutscenes

Because there was a massive long-lasting problem with new players just watching cutscenes while everyone else rushed, and not being able to take any part at all in the dungeon

just back to back cutscenes as others ran past the triggers

and it was a terrible experience for all new players

So the cutscenes were made unskippable, and the exp and poetics rewards from the roulette were massively buffed to compensate for the time taken.

Hi, pretty new to the game but I was reading up a bit on housing. The way I understand it it’s basically impossible to get a housing plot unless you camp for hours and are extremely lucky. Is that correct?

It's not impossible, just annoying and a little luck is involved.

Currently, due to the coronavirus situation, the usual system which auto-relinquishes housing plots of inactive players is disabled.

So few if any housing plots are opening up.

After the system resumes, more housing plots will start opening up for purchase again.

the demolition timer keeps it vaguely rolling by getting rid of inactive players' houses

in some fantasy timeline where everyone who owned a house went to their house and never stopped playing, there'd be no chance

but that doesn't happen

Still worth checking at off-peak hours on your server, cause people could still in theory be selling up or world transferring
