In that case, for the abilities you have a couple of options that I would recommend. First, remove everything from your hotbars, then re-add skills from your spellbook one at a time after reading the tooltips.

Obviously with option two you wouldn't be able to go back and replay the MSQ, but yes, PotD or doing leveling dungeons would be a valid way to relearn mechanics.

Also, if you're over level 50 and want to remember where you were in the MSQ, you can unlock the "New Game+" function via the NPC in Vesper Bay (near the Waking Sands - Horizon is the nearest teleport point, or you can take a ferry from Limsa Lominsa) and replay any expansion or patch you've completed since 3.0 (for no xp or other rewards, just for the story).
Personally? I like Dancer. It's fun and easy to play.

As with every expansion since, the entire X.0 story is released when the expansion is, followed by an X.1-X.5 patch every 4 months or so for the following two years.
The patch MSQ wraps up the storylines from the X.0 MSQ, and sets things up for the following expansion.

I know these scale up with level (and seem like a fantastic source of experience in the form of dailies :O) but do they scale DOWN with level?
