It isn't terrible but it has notable pacing issues. Something of a consequence of how quickly iy was developed.

arr is the beginning to get you into the game, so there wont be a ton of battles right off the bat. It is made to help you learn how everything works, and in the later levels, around 35-40 i would say, it gets better

Though did buy the complete edition since from day one I knew I was gonna be in for the long haul. If you like it after the 30 days then budget it in. for level 50 stuff and below you don't have to be that social though especially if you read mechanics beforehand(although the only 3 that I think are even worth mentioning are darkhold, aurum vale and quarn), I had several runs that just kind of went without anything said if that helps getting yourself through the duty finder content

I have actually found DPS to be more difficult than healing. When healing, you don't have a rotation to execute and DPS cooldowns to line up. You just spam Ruin/Malefic/Glare and heal as needed.

Right so I'm 50 NIN and there's a lot of ninjitsu moves now. There obviously isn't guides really to 50 rotations but I notice that kassatsu has a 60 second cooldown so would I use Kassatsu - suiton, then use rotation for Raiten for max damage then trick attack then just use Raiten until I need to reapply suiton while using kassatsu on CD?

Right click your FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn folder
Click properties and untick Read-only.
Click apply and then OK.

At level 30, all baseline classes (the ones available upon character creation + Rogue) will present you with a quest to upgrade to the corresponding job assuming you've been doing your class quests along the way (which you should because they give you skills). Expansion jobs - of which MCH is one - have either level or MSQ requirements in order to unlock them.

Jobs are simply an upgraded version of your basic class. So if you start as ARC and upgrade to BRD, for example, you'll keep all of the skills you had as ARC, but also start learning BRD skills.

Expansion jobs simply start at the "job" stage instead of going through the "class" phase.

Heavensward Expansion Jobs: Dark Knight (Tank), Astrologian (Healer), and Machinist (Ranged DPS). These jobs start at level 30 and require ownership of the Heavensward Expansion and the completion of the level 50 main scenario quest "Before the Dawn".

Just want to make sure you know that leveling with a job of any kind doesn't add stats to your character

You cannot gain magic related stat on your character by leveling up magic jobs and subsequently become suboptimal on your physical jobs

Apart from the "random single weapon" on the fourth floor, all the gear drops in the chests are coffers which, when used, transform into a gear piece for your current job.

Doesn't matter afaik as long as your gear is over iLv300. Unless you have gear with Eureka stats on them (Kirin Osode, Vermillion Cloak, Elemental Gear +2 etc), then those will work.

All obtained from Eureka. Some are rare drops from Notorious Monsters, but the better ones will require you to go through the Baldesion Arsenal, the lv60 Eureka dungeon. That will drop the mats you need for the Vermillion Cloak and Kirin Osode, and to upgrade your Elemental Armor

You can buy Vermillion Cloak or Kirin Osode on the MB, but it might be expensive.

You're fine all the way to 60 without said gear though, it's not mandatory in the slightest

Then I'd say start with older ShB Extreme primals like Titania or Innocence. After you've cleared a few of those, then I'd be comfortable with going into Savage. Make sure to read a guide or two about the encounters to know what to expect :p @reef reef
