you can use it for lvl 60 and 70 gear as well

60 gear can be bought in idyllshire, 70 gear in rhaglr's reach

that said though, you need to progress thru the main scenario far enough to be able to interact with the vendors

#

idyllshire vendors simply require to you have gotten to idyllshire, rhaglr's reach vendors require you to have finished the main scenario quest "Stormblood" to see them

So I got my level and il high enough to do Rathalos extreme. When I did it synced via duty finder twice we got a gold chest once he died. Ive been doing it unsyced now, and after beating him about 10 times we haven't gotten a chest. Is it rare or do you not get the poogie etc, unsynced? I'm kinda confused

Is it worth buying 60 poetics gear, or should I just buy 70 poetics gear in preparation for my healer being in line with my other jobs (71, 72)

I'm currently almost at the end of base arr and I'm thinking of lvling another job for the post arr content until Heavensward 'cause I would really want to see the expansion from lvl50, how it's meant to be played, not come in with like lvl57 o 58 thanks to 2.0-2.5 exp from quests and dungeons. As long as you don't have road to 70 and you didn't do roulette or redo dungeons for gear, your main class will be somewhat evenly match with the msq

#

It actually saves you a few dungeon run to level up later in HW (lvl 58-59 msq ish), SB, and ShB

#

I started HW, and ShB with a lvl 50 SCH and a lvl 70 DRK, and in both occasions, I was a tad under in the latter half of the base MSQ

#

Therefore, as long as you stick with MSQ with your main class and uses roulette for other jobs, your main should be on par or slightly ahead with MSQ level all the way through the end

#

There is no need to purposefully restrict your own level

@swift plover you're still pretty early on in post ARR so its up to you if you want to skip but i personally wouldn't recommend it as while 2.1-2.2 can be tedious, it does get better and 2.55 is very much worth it

my recommendation is, if you don't skip, whenever you feel like you're getting burnt out on the msq go to something else for a bit

By the time you're in the 70s, regen is also sorta phased out in use

The mistake people often make is viewing oGCD heals like benediction and tetragrammaton as "emergency buttons". They're not--they're your bread and butter, and should be used often.

It's your GCD heals--Afflatus Solace, and finally Cure 2--that are more like emergency buttons.

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

"What is the Glamour Dresser?"

The Glamour Dresser allows you to glamour an entire set of equipment at once when in a city or town. You can find the dresser in your inn room at any of the Adventurer's guilds.

"How do I use it?"

In order to use the Glamour Dresser you need to first put the items you want to use for glamour inside of it. This requires a one-time cost of one Glamour Prism per item. You're able to safely take out the items, but you'll need to pay another Glamour Prism to put it back into the Dresser. After you have put in the glamour items you want to use for your set you'll want to click on "Edit Glamour Plates".

When the plate window opens up you can select the stored glamours you have onto the slots of the plate to create the set you desire. Once you're satisfied with your glamour click on "Save". You can now apply your Glamour Plate by accessing the Character menu, clicking the Glamour Plate button, and choosing the Plate that you have made.

If I may add more to this, apartments only let you put indoor furniture, while housing has both outdoor and indoor stuff.

Furthermore, anything people put in the outside of their house can be viewed by other players in the same ward

From dev/data standpoint, it is much easier to just add more floors of apartment, than adding more wards of houses
