I did the Eden runs and unlocked the savage ones, supposedly, but when I go to do them only the first one Ramuh I think, is available for me to do, and even then as a DRK, I am waiting hours and hours to no end to find people to que, is the game dead or people don't like to do eden savage anymore? Because if either is the case, I am screwed, I won't be able to get any piece of eden..

Hiten, the issue was that I was hard pulling after a warning, we all died because dps and healer were either new or just jerking their meats together. Then I started pulling less so we can all survive, and the dps started harassing me like "zzzzz" and all that. Then we died after one big pull I did for them to get the to stop it, and the healer was complaining about the big pulls. It was like a double edged sword.
That is arguably different depending on server network. But shouldn't be by a huge amount
Don't know what to do in that situation.

Personally, after having 250+ hrs in this game - I know, I know, not much, hear me out - I think the game on its own, overall is just decent. I have some very mixed feelings about it, both good and bad, but maybe because I am also old and can't seem to accept it/appreciate it completely. I think the community is another part which of course we have to deal with since it's an mmorpg, it still can be demotivating if you have some jerks in your party. Unless someone has such a thick skin and don't give a rat's ass.

THM/BLM: you spend MP to deal damage with your fire spell (elemental damage in XIV doesn't work like Pokรฉmon, fire spell is not stronger against tree nor it is weaker against a water enemy), then you build MP back with ice spell. High level BLM controls and maintains their Astral Fire buff (more damage) and their Umbral Ice buff (faster MP recovery), doing so let them build toward very powerful spells.
ACN/SMN (ignoring SCH): you inflict poison on enemies (damage over time, DOT) and you can give orders to your pets to attack your enemies. High level SMN get to control one of three standard pets, and can special summon 2 special pets once you built certain resources in combat.
Two reminder: Arcanist is unique in that it is the only class that can branch into two jobs (Summoner and Scholar, DPS and healer respectively). Jobs have a predetermined role, so a healer job cannot be spec to be a DPS job.
Apart from Black Mage and Summoner, there are two more Mages: Red Mage and Blue Mage. Red Mage is an expansion job, which you can only unlock at higher level. Blue Mage is a limited job, as in it plays more like a side content, and it cannot participate in any current content.
