When you change your gear, you're actually telling the server you want to do that.
If you reorganize the order of your items while it's in the middle of waiting for the server to respond, it's gonna do something weird.
When you do a sort, you never actually tell the server you're doing it. If it did, the server could crash from too many people sorting their inventory at once

For enochian this is used after your very first spell in an instance and ideally never pressed again. For other stuff, it'll get weaved in after a fast F3/B3, or instant cast via swift/triple/proc/xeno
you get more opportunities for ways to weave oGCD as you get to higher levels, for now it's mainly just procs and fast F3/B3

I usually pull packs with Shield Lob on one mob and then Total Eclipse to establish aggro, but I feel very "vulnerable" while the GCD is rolling and I dont have threat on 2/3 of the pack, I only have Provoke if someone grabs aggro in that window. Am I doing something wrong? Should I pull with an ogcd into total eclipse, or just facepull into total eclipse?

if there's distance between you and the target where it'll take time for them to come get to you, shield lob -> total eclipse. If you're already pretty close, facepull instead of shield lob isn't too bad an idea. Though if someone does grab aggro on other mobs in the interim there between shield lob -> total eclipse you generally don't especially need to provoke anything back, the total eclipse should bring them back to you by itself

realistically tank enmity generation is real strong and generally single mobs are a bit weak by themselves, so if someone's a bit antsy and pulls something a bit early before you can properly tag them all, them getting a little love tap or two generally won't be too much of an issue since you're just grabbing it back with the next GCD

hydatos armor is...i390 5-slot? About halfway through leveling to 80. It'll be roughly on par with the i400 since you can pentameld it but you're still missing out on vit and defense stats (a bit more of note for tank of course). The level 73 dungeon drops i400 stuff, dungeon drops and such after that it's more clear of a direct upgrade.

I'd mostly just operate off of a mouseover macro if possible or pick a specific slot to target with DS instead of just blindly picking the closest person, but for what you're trying to do with that macro specifically it should be fine

It's not that bad, you queue for a set of 10 floors as a time as if it was a dungeon. Those take like 10-20min to complete. You can take a break in between two sets of 10 floors for example and go do something else.

I think they were being sarcastic lol. There's 100 quests between the final ARR quest and the first Heavensward quest which are mandatory to do. They're decent story-wise but there's a lot of filler so it can get monotonous and grindy.
