I don't have XIV on PS4, but other games' saved data (saves and settings) are typically kept when you delete digital downloads. I imagine XIV keeps your settings in the same place.

and you have to keep them as equal as possible until they reach a certain level
at which point you have a melee combo instead of casting like previously
also the other main part of the class is dualcast, which means that once you hardcast one spell the next one is instant

i would say smn is pretty hard in regards to learning the rotation but once you do it's on the easier side

Oh Dancer is super fun and Warrior is all about smash which I enjoy. I just don't want a but load of xp going to waste.
And it's learning how to move as little as needed while dpsing, like a traditional Mage the more you move the less you cast. Less cast means less damage. It's a player skill thing that takes a lot of puls to learn

Yeah, Cure III often just isn't helpful when it should be due to the colossal mana cost and the godawful range. It's even less helpful because XIV is ass at tracking moving targets, so if you needed a big panic aoe heal, well.

I unlocked SMN/SCH, but i now have a problem. I play on PS4 so using a controller i usually switch, while doing random stuff, between Hotbars with R1 taps. When the pet is up, it only switches between Hotbar 1 and Pet (or 2 and Pet), but never cycles the second hotbar. Anyone knows how to fix?

If a job didn't exist when that particular expansion was introduced, then the job don't have relics from that expansion
For example, Dark Knight is introduced in Heavensward, so it has relics in HW, SB, and ShB, but not ARR (ARR is not expansion but that's not the point here)
Another example, 6.0 Jobs will not have relics in ARR, HW, SB, ShB at all, only in 6.0

@frank anchor Yes, for ARR the first star is from MSQs and the second is from riding maps. Bear in mind that you can gets those easily with allied seals outside of the moogle event, and with the next patch ARR zones will have flying so they will be somewhat obsolete. So I recommend prioritizing the more rare stuff from the moogle event such as mounts.

i would say it is easier to practice and track your resources (just among the melee DPS), seeing that at lvl 80, you are alternating between 2 different 5-hit combo and you only have 1 gauge to maint (which is super easy)

Main Scenario/Story Quests is the game's main storyline and are mandatory to do, as a majority of content is locked behind it like expansions and endgame content.

combat tips: read your tooltips, potency of a skill is their power relative to each other.

biggest thing IMO that a lot of players miss, is leveling your Grand Comapny, which you'll be introduced to during the main story quest (MSQ)- they do mention it, but don't put much emphasis. Particularly pay attention to your hunting log, which can be accessed in the lower right- you'll have one log for the class you choose, and one log for your grand company (eventually)

do your Hall of Novice stuff, it should be available very early on, it will teach you about the basics on combat, and you get decent gears that will last you a while
to add on Wynne's advise on doing your , your class/job quests are just as important
doing them sometimes unlock new skills
final tip: seeing that we are talking skills, all skills are useful (ignoring the 2-3 exceptions) so don't remove skills out of your hotbar because you think it is weaker
