Dragoons used to have way lower magic defense on their gear..i think there was another class too that did. They would get 1 shot by normal raidwide aoes when no one else would, which started the memes.. that and the jump animation locks.

yeah, jumps had a longer animation lock, they had super low magic defense, and their combos had required positionals to continue the combos

in an age where true north wasn't a thing so you had to greed the GCD, and failing the greed meant guaranteed death, and it was extra dangerous with the longer jump time

I got a question. Whenever a mob has a telegraphic skill, the mob does seem do that skill like 1-2 seconds later but I wont get damage bc the telegraphic is gone. Is it a avisual or or can we prevent this. It is a little bit annoying

The damage is snapshotted when the cast ends/when the aoe disappears

The animation has no baring on damage unless its a channelled aoe or that special aoe from rabanstre 3rd boss

The only thing I'm really seeing is using something like <cross> and then marking whichever player with the cross sign. Which might explain what was happening in that one raid

from what I saw across groups it had pretty similar reliability, and was only especially good if people were completely bad at figuring out which side to go on

(which you could still adjust for even if you messed up, if you had a later number)
