Gear like that takes up two slots and usually has stats to make up for the lack of helm, though you may need to double check the stats you have for a chest/helm piece @patent citrus

the general flow of RDM is, you use a short cast to get the dualcast proc, then you spend the dualcast proc on a long cast (verthunder/veraero) which makes it instant cast

so it'll be jolt -> veraero, or jolt -> verthunder

when you cast veraero, there's a 50% chance that you get a proc, verstone ready, which allows you to cast verstone. You can then use this as the "short cast" in place of the jolt

Meanwhile, healers tend to get near instance dungeon queues, which makes leveling them nearly a breeze.

Info

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

the daily turn ins are always going to request items in the lvl range you are at when reset happens

should get the 2nd hunting log done quickly if possible

but can buy glamour prisms, either to keep or sell, or venture tokens to send your retainers out on ventures
