you don't really just pick one crafter and level that up
A) your gear as a white mage can be made by a number of different crafters on a case by case basis
B) all those recipes will need materials other crafting jobs make like robes might need cloth, leather, metals, etc
C) It's just way easier to do them all at once
Unless you want to pay for all your materials

Due to the interactions between the crafters, it's recommend to level all gatherers and crafters at a similar pace. The only exceptions being Fisher and Culinarian, which are for food more than equipment
Especially since it's gil-efficient

Yeah there’s a mix as to where things come from. For instance, a weaver may make padded pants for a tank, while a leather worker makes the boots, and an armor smith handles the other pieces. With a Goldsmith doing the jewelry, Leatherworker doing bracelets, and a Blacksmith handling the weapon.
