'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

'Why does my EXP bar have some blue in it?'

That's Rested experience, which is an extra source of bonus experience shared between all of your classes. You gradually earn this while inside a sanctuary (town or area with a major aetheryte), regardless of whether you're online or not. Sanctuaries are also indicated with a crescent moon icon near your experience bar.

'How much of a boost is it?'

The most amount of rested experience you can have at once is one and a half levels of experience. That means that lower level jobs use up the rested experience faster than higher level jobs do.

The main large aetheryte of the city is also connected to the Aethernet Shards.

So you can right-click on the main aetheryte to freely transport to any of the city's aethernet shards.

#

However, teleporting between different towns with their own big aetherytes must be done by paying some gil through the teleport menu.

@keen fable well the msq usually gives you enough XP just by doing it. The miss exp can easily be done with daily roulette stuff. Just be aware that this game is not endgame only and that the story can take you 5-10 in game days to complete

One other thing, now that I'm starting raids at 50- is there any multiplayer content (assumedly raids) that's difficult enough to get a grasp on in the first run through you'd suggest doing it with ppl you know if possible? I've already encountered more minor problems with my execution of mechanics after lvl 50 then I have the entire time up to this point, so I'd rather not enounter trouble unexpectedly. I do get that the large majority of the time raid groups will help out, but still figure I should check

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.
