maybe something 58 as well to carry yourself over but then it's level 60 job gear/poetic gear

Fresh player starting FFXIV with some friends cuz of quarantine. We trying to put together a good 3-4 man comp and it looks like I'll either be a tank or a ranged DPS. Wondering if there are any classes which would be "bad" in general or would be bad in a small party. For example, picking a secondary tank when I'm looking to be the primary tank in my friend group. Currently looking at paladin and dark Knight for tank. And summoner and black Mage for ranged DPS. Haven't decided yet, and I know that it can be changed later but I still wanna have an informed starting point for when the time comes.

Ive read about flying and the quests needed to be unlocked. Some of them for example are level 57 MSQ. So is it pointless to start unlocking aether currents now when i will still get hardlocked by those msq?

nope, you should work on getting the aether currents done while you're working on msq

since generally the last aether current you'll need is going to be the last msq for that zone

so it'll be easier to have it all said and done when you get to that point than back tracking

so you do the quests and find the currents in one zone to unlock flying in that zone

(also, collectibles and ishgard restoration, both very good sources of gatherer and crafter EXP are locked behind the MSQ)

The level 50 and 70 sets can be bought from the calamity salvagers

The level 60 set is bought at the Forgotten Knight in Ishgard for Centurio Seals

morning all have a novice question when you see a house plot for sale. and you click and it says the plot of land is not yet ready for purchase. how long till it becomes ready ? do you have to stand there for a few real life hours and wait?

The lockout timer for a plot before it becomes available for purchase is RNG and can easily be over 24 hours from when it became vacant.

Longest I've ever seen a plot stay locked was nearly 2 days

Sastasha is a very long walk in general, Copperbell's first boss takes too long if you try to do legit or actually kill it

Halatali might be kinda fast?

Toto-rak has you be slow for like half the dungeon so that's an automatic no
