Vendor gear is easily outclassed by shire gear. If you want better gear, you need to either buy HQ from the MB (/craft yourself) or grind dungeons. Though augmented shire is not optimal after 65 it's still ok.

@spark marsh doesn't particularly matter which EU data center you go for. main suggestion is to make a character on preferred world (they have a star next to them when you select a server after character creation).
That said, Moogle is known for its french community and Shiva is known for its germany community. Most of the other servers are predominately english

I’d double check the journal for completion of “Fish in a Barrel”, “Ruby Seas under Ruby Skies”, and “The Ananta’s Maid Tail”. If all of those are complete maybe send in a support ticket?

would also suggest logging out and back in, sometimes...turning it off and back on is the solution even for an mmo

how does the mentor/sprout exp bonus work? as a mentor do i now get bonus exp in roulettes/duty finder any time there is a sprout in the party? do i need to have the mentor crown status set to get it?

The damage difference between Hot Flare and Cold Flare rotation isn’t that big, though Hot Flare is definitely stronger if you use instant casts on the flares
