At low levels guild NPCs will mostly have what you need, but after that you start getting to places where you need weaver to craft something for leatherworker to use

Depends on your level.
Mostly, just running leveling dungeons will get you decent gear as you're leveling. And at levels 50, 60, and 70 you can use Tomestones of Poetics to purchase Ironworks, Shire, and Scaevan gear respectively.
At level 80, there are a lot more options, from running the current raid (Eden's Verse) to farming Tomestones of Allegory and using them to purchase gear.

Heya folks, I'm having trouble reinstalling the game.. I was doing the free trial awhile ago, but when I try to install the game it asks for a registration code that I dont have. If I try to login via the free trial page on the site, it says that "Square Enix accounts that have already registered for a FINAL FANTASY XIV service account are not eligible for a free trial. " So I'm not sure how to proceed without starting over completely... any help would be super appreciated!
