If you have access to gardening, you can grow Athlyk Lavender in your garden plots and exchange each one for 3 nuggets each (each seeds gives 2 or 3 depending on shroud soil used)

Spiritbond basically binds gear to you. Once you use that equipment in combat or for glamour it bonds to you and cannot be traded.

It goes up when you kill/craft stuff that's near the item level of it. When it hits 100% you can choose the "Extract Materia" option to set it back to 1% and get a random materia based on the type of equipment and level.

the open circle is materia slot you can 100% always fill either with a npc or another player (if don't want to pay for melding cost). that gets the (2) filled icon on the right. on the right (red icon) is an overmelded slot which has to be done by a player (or yourself if leveled the crafting class to repair)

Spiritbond is not related to melding the item. You can fully meld an item that's sitting at 0% spiritbond
Though having materia melded does make spiritbonding happen faster.

@low plank If you have a FC, I recommend you ask them to help unsync farm it. My FC regularly organizes mount farms, or just someone goes "hey I'm gonna do X, wanna join?"
Also, ARR ex trials are actually soloable by jobs that can heal themselves like healers, RDM or PLD. I used to farm Shiva Ex on my RDM for the rapier, and I rarely died.

Yeah, because even the beginner guides are written by people who have been playing the game for long enough that they've forgotten what parts are "game common sense" and which parts are "new player common sense".
A lot of the stuff, you'll pick up pretty quickly once you start playing.

The recommended requirements are basically for the smoothest possible running of the game at normal settings.

no, the 24mans are alliance raids, so they fall into the raid category. namely the difference between trials and 8 man raids is difficulty/lock out. Trials don't have a lock out while they're current content. The 8 man raids do, and are normally hard than the trials.

@forest lark Raids are 24 and 8 man. 8-man raids give rewards on form of tokens you can spend and you basically have several separate fights. (12 per expansion) Trials only offer rewards in their extreme/minstrel's ballad variant.

GP (Gathering Points) is a stat to utilize various gathering related skills. It has a natural refresh rate outside of gathering, and a refresh rate per gathering hit while gathering (each node hit while gathering generates 5GP, which doesn't really matter if you're doing auto gathering). The rate of refresh outside depends on if you have any of the GP refresh traits enabled. Cordials restore a certain amount of GP and have a cooldown. How much GP and what the cooldown is depends on what type of cordial and if it's HQ or not (assuming an HQ version is available). Cordials can only be used outside of gathering window only.
