The best gear at level 50/60/70 is gear purchased with Tomestones of Poetics, which can be obtained from the max level instances for ARR, HW, and SB.
You should get enough to purchase and upgrade an Ironworks weapon for your current job by completing the two Main Scenario instances that wrap up the base MSQ for ARR.

Yes and no.
At level 50, 60, and 70 you'll unlock vendors who will sell you what was the best non-Savage raid gear for that level for Poetics tomestone currency.
However you can also get gear through questing and dungeons.
The advantage to tomestone gear is that, when upgraded, it will last you about 5 levels into the next expansion content before dungeon gear begins to overtake it from a stat standpoint.

No, your class gear and weapon will be easily overtaken by dungeon gear.
The level 50 tomestone gear, the Ironworks set (sold by Auriana in Mor Dhona) is significantly better.
The sets with staying power are:
Augmented Ironworks (level 50)
Augmented Shire (level 60)
Augmented Scaevan (level 70)
Buying and upgrading a full set of gear should run you about 4500 tomestones if I'm calculating correctly. The head, hands, and feet run at 245 apiece (+100 per upgrade token), body and legs are 410 each (+100 per upgrade token), waist, earrings, neck, bracelet, and ring are 180 apiece (+100 per upgrade token), and the weapon is 500 (+100 for the upgrade token).

You'll get 300 for completing each of the final instances for the ARR story - Castrum Meridianum, and Praetorium. After that, you can get a further 300 per day by doing those instances through the MSQ roulette.

It really is easy and fast.
The MSQ scenarios are the only long part, and that's because you can't skip the cutscenes there.
So your minimum amount of time spent will be around 30 minutes.

I think of WHM as the hard heals - they have the widest variety of pure healing of all the healers. SCH is the defensive healer, with their focus on shielding allies, with their faerie picking up most of their straight healing. AST is the supportive healer, able to cover the same roles as either WHM or SCH while buffing their allies.

@velvet reef If you want to start the level 80 relic, the initial quest for it is in Kugane (Hail to the Queen). The only requirements are completing the stormblood 24-man series (also starts in Kugane with the quest "Dramatis Personae") and the base shadowbringers story.
