5x Aether Oil - 350 poetics each, 1750 total. This is the easiest way to get these
60-80x Umbrite - 75 poetics each, 4500-6000 total. This is the only way to get these.
60-80x Crystal Sand - 225 poetics for 5x Thavnarian Mist + 5x Superior Enchanted Ink to trade for 2 sand; 6750-9000 poetics total. Many other ways to get these; crafter/gatherer blue scrips are the best method.
50x Singing Cluster - 40 poetics each, 2000 total. Can easily grab 18/week + 1/day from quests in Idyllshire.

@leaden ginkgo In terms of pure damage output, no. SAM is much stronger. But NIN's Trick Attack debuff is more powerful than it appears. That alone puts NIN on near equal footing. NIN makes everyone else stronger. SAM doesn't contribute such debuffs and only has its own damage to fall back on.

Reporting bots, depends on which kind. RMT advertisements, right click their name in the log and you'll see it under Report. If it's botting but can't be pinned to RMT, you'll have to file a manual ticket. like that ^

You harvest once and it's dead.

You get seeds via something called crossbreeding. When you put 2 plants next to each other they have a chance to cross and yield "some" seed that isn't necessarily related to either plant.

Crossbreeding means when you harvest you get the seed into your inventory in addition to whatever crop you harvest.

Unlike WoW, leveling other classes gives no benefits, it's about wanting to experience that classes abilities and learning to perfect them in your rotation. You can level both WHM and AST and not have to worry about one or the other altering eachother in some way.
Do note you'll need to get to the first expansion of the game, Heavensward, to unlock Astrologian, and it sets you back to level 30 when you start leveling that class.

It can be beneficial to have both of them in case you join a static raid group and they don't want both their healers playing the same class

I have a quick question, I attempted buying the game last night and trying to mess with accounts became a BIG mess for me. Basically I have a Square Enix account with the game purchased, BUT I do not have a FF14 account. I did have a ff14 account, but I cant seem to get access. Every time I try and reset my password, I change it, and then immediately after it tells me it's wrong. I've given up, my question is, since I can see the activation code for the game, if i made a whole new account, could i just use the activation code on the new account and call it good?

If you make the SE account from the Steam XIV launcher it'll make a Steam Mogstation account which you'd need to use the Steam Complete Edition code
If you use the Non-Steam launcher to make the SE account you'll have a Non-Steam mogstation account and you can upgrade to both Steam and Non-Steam though I'm not actually sure if upgrading to Steam from there is simple but really I think you have a better chance at refunding the Steam code
So I'd download the Non-Steam launcher
Even more than that, I'd recommend downloading the Non-Steam free trial launcher
and use the free trial on that new account
then use the complete edition code when you want to

If you just need short-term stuff like dungeon runs you’re generally better off using the in game party finder or your region’s chat channel of this discord

Nodes will generally appear in sequence across each island eventually circling the whole map. I think only two(?) appear near your location at any given time aside from the timed weather nodes.
So just follow the nodes as they pop and make the whole circuit.

Not really since you'd still need to do the story from 50-70. It would be quicker for alt jobs though

But I really wouldn't buy an ARR skip
A) skipping the cutscenes to catch up really speeds it up and makes the skip not worth the price tbh
