Your hitbox is a small circle directly underneath your character. It's much smaller than you'd think but it definitely isn't, say, only a pixel.

If you target yourself, the center of that is your hitbox. The exact size of it however I don't know

You can use world visit to freely visit other worlds in your datacenter with a few restrictions, but you'll have to pay to move your home server, whether it's inside the same datacenter or to a different one.

Do Fates scale depending on the number of people in the area?

Sometimes more spawns or less spawns, or a boss fate is easier or harder

Referring to the gearset I mentioned, you should get into the habit of changing class by changing gearset.

Technically, classes/job is changed by equipping weapons, but equipping armors (and later, your Job stone) is not automatic

note that every time you unlock a new job, you unlock a new gearset slot. and the gearsets themselves can be dragged out of the window and turned into hotbar buttons

hey everyone 🙂 returning player here who can no longer tank due to health issues 😦 I am rerolling to a completely new character and server to play with friends. But what is a ranged dps with a "simple" or easier rotation? I was looking at Archer, but apparently at endgame they have quite some insane rotation

(last time I played was shortly at the end of Stormblood as a tank)

Simplest rotation is probably Machinist, but they can get pretty button-mashy during their hypercharge windows.

There's also Black Mage

at least not on a level where I want to be

You may find tanking easier in this game, one tank to another, especially while leveling. Generally you’ll be using your AoE rotation, as you’ll deal more damage than your single target combo, and your defensive cooldowns will be something you roll, basically. The first one you get lasts for 20 seconds, so it’s not some split second decision.

And that AoE rotation for the first 50 levels is just two buttons!

You’ll find the combat pace a lot slower in this game than WoW, so it might be the perfect place to dip your toes in again.

Give the Hall of the Novice a try for tanking and see.

in WoW I always played Paladin, same in FFXI 😄 well except the current WoW tier where paladins are about as useful as a moldy noodle
