Best way to level up before you have dungeons is a mix of sidequests, hunting log, and fates

Palace of the Dead is pretty decent too if you're fine with the grindy nature of it

For HoH the principle is the same, instead you’ll be running floors 21-30 instead.

@echo charm Tank swaps aren't a thing in casual content so unless you're doing Extreme or Savage raids/trials there's little reason to do tank swaps.

But in terms of tank swaps it goes like this:
Off Tank uses provoke
Main Tank uses Shirk on Offtank
Off Tank turns on tank stance

You generally do them when the main tank is about to get hit by a tankbuster or mechanic that would make them unable to continue tanking the boss due to taking massively increased damage

The job boosts don't directly give the job sets, but they do complete the level 1-70 quests so you can grab the level 50 and 70 job sets from the calamity salvager

HW relics are unlocked in Idyllshire and properly start in Azys Lla.
SB relics are unlocked in Rhalgr's Reach and properly start in Kugane at Pier #1.
ShB relics are unlocked in Kugane and probably start in Gangos, accessed through the Doman Enclave.

@real kiln shire as it is can last into lvl 64 ish story, augmented shire has better stats and can last into 65/66 story, afterward you should upgrade (not all, just a few piece here and there) with dungeon gears or gears rewarded from MSQ

@glass kayak XIV has its own story and lore, separate from any of the other FF titles, as JET said. There are a few characters and settings which are Eorzean versions of characters and settings from other FF games, but you don't actually need to have any knowledge of the previous versions.
