If you redeem a code, at what point do you assign which character gets the ARR skip? Just concerned it'll go to the wrong character since it's not showing up in the 'character list' atm above the code entrance.

No, you can use it even if you haven't unlocked the job. Requires that you own Stormblood however. Your GLD will still be at level 12. Once you use the item it'll force a log out and when you get back in, you'll be on a level 70 SAM.

No, the game will treat it as if you leveled SAM normally. You'll have it permanently. Just be certain to save your SAM gear set.

Pretty much, yeah. Dailies are decent but if your server organizes a train, it’s definitely the fastest. You’ll also get a good amount of tomes and materia exchange tokens.

in terms of unique rewards, each of them have a mount, minion, a couple pieces of furniture, maybe glamour items, and other things. The HW/SB tribes also have dances.
Also if you rank up all the ARR beast tribes to max (including the Ixal crafting tribe) you get this nice looking head piece

And Paladin is a very nice mix of damage/defense/self-healing once you get more of their toolkit.

usually don't have under leveling issues at that level, but either way make sure you're doing any creatures you see that are in your hunting log (they have a little double c icon above them), and fates that you come across as you're leveling
once you've done the first two dungeons, you'll unlock the leveling roulette. make sure you're doing that once every day
