I usually send my squadron out because they're actually on a pretty good timer. I don't want to, for instance, do 2-3 matches of Feast then go to Limsa, change world, go to retainer to get the probably garbage, list it or run all the way to GC, then switch world, go back to the den, and queue up again.
That's around a 5-10 minute investment every hour for almost nothing.
