Unable to create new gear set. in game on a new alt on european datacenter I made wont let me creat any more sets even though I unlocked the abilty to join other guilds and even got a second class, i was able ot update that other job but gladitor I an unable to even do anything

The only remotely helpful thing about hunting log outside of low level xp is that you need to do the grand company section a bit to rank up in your grand company when you get there in main story which is nice to do but not necessary right away

Don't save the logs to 30 though if you're still in the 1-10 log.

Your chocobo gets xp based on your level.

So if you're killing level 5 mobs at level 30, neither you nor your chocobro will get much benefit out of it.

Yeah, the leggings (without skirt) are from the alchemist's trousers. the skirt itself is brand-new waistwrap

But like Kale said, it's automatic and you can't stop them from happening without sheathing your weapon between every GCD or unless you channel something, and for those jobs the auto attacks don't matter

I mean it's hard when you approach it with a WoW mentality since I am a WoW refugee. There while positioning is important more often than not fights come down to - How Much Damage? And do you remember to interrupt? - There were Mythic Bosses where I barely moved

But ranking up in your GC can give you new items to get, some of them equipment that can look cool, you'll unlock squadrons which is nice for xp and you can get some rewards from it. Both the squadron and getting highly ranked in your grand company can get you a lot of emotes

Getting high enough in your grand company can unlock expert delivery which is a really good way to trash old gear

Macroing GCD skills is generally a bad idea because of skill queuing.
Just hover your mouse over the party frames and target enemies by tabtargeting
The only healing skills I'd macro is ground targeting ones, which I put on "cast under the target" instead of mouseover, and resurrection for the text for fun

For example /ac "Earthly Star" <t> will put an Earthly star square under my target, who's probably going to be the tank. I should really macro sacred soil as well tbh

Mogstation is kind of cobbled together. Takes some patience. Doesn’t quite excuse the errors however but there isn’t much more that can be done but wait.

@timber condor For combat Rogue? Honestly you'd probably enjoy SAM or DRG more than NIN or MNK.

The issue with NIN is that it's visually similar to Rogue, but it's very high APM and more of a party support. It also has Invoker's skillset tacked on as a bonus. MNK is super positional heavy so you'd like it as a Subtlety Rogue.

DRG has a bit more static of a rotation and SAM has a really free flowing rotation especially when you're working up in content, so that's your big choice. Either way I'd just start DRG on your new character.

Why Stone, Sky, Sea is a bad metric to measure DPS

Info

SSS does not account for a job’s RDPS contribution via skills like Battle Voice
SSS is a 3 minute burst window where you adjust your rotation to fit in that period and does not reflect a realistic raid scenario
Different jobs will be in peaks and troughs of their burst windows
Different jobs have different SSS dps requirements
SSS is not accurately tuned for the jobs they are supposed to represent in most cases
3 minutes is short enough to be able to be affected by lucky DH Crit bursts
Certain jobs gain dps by having additional party members like Dancer/Monk

Marketboard if you want it quick, otherwise you can idly get some from level 80 dungeons. You can also do ShB A and S rank hunts for materia tokens to trade for Tier 7/8 Materia.

People usually just have 1 character, sometimes they have an alt or 2 for other data centers or just for RP, but hardly anyone has more than 1 serious character.

as to your most recent Q, most people going in blind just make a character they like the appearance of. Many of us didnt know the games lore going in. For example had I known I might have used a miqo'te tribe name in my own name, but it hardly matters

i guess to answer your own question, id have to ask how hard-core of a in-lore RPer are you, and based on that you might want to have some lore knowledge to make a specific type of character, though you could always use a fantasia later if u felt the need

There is a bluequest in the Adventurer's Guild in Limsa Lominsa which will unlock a weekly challenge log.

There are a variety of objectives which can be completed each week (they're always the same objectives for each category) for experience and various relevant currency (gil, wolf marks, GC seals, etc.)
