weaving in general is using an oGCD (ability) after an instant cast weaponskill/spell. Clipping is failing to weave oGCD properly, aka doing something like a full cast -> oGCD -> full cast. This "clips" slightly into the next GCD, delaying it. It's mostly a bigger deal when you look to casters, but when you start to try double/triple weaving (using 2 or 3 oGCD between GCD), you can start to clip even on physical jobs

during that ~2.5s window, you want to try to use abilities that you need to use, since you're waiting during that time anyways

You can do that if you want to, just know that unless the other job uses the same gear as the first one you'll have to split your gear choices for the most part depending on how far you are in the story.

It really depends on how often you run your roulettes, as that is a huge factor on how ahead in levels you are for the story.
Some people manage to hit level 80 while still doing stormblood progression story due to running daily roulettes

Ishgardian Restoration is for crafters and gatherers.
Basically, you gather materials in the overworld and in a special instance, then craft collectable items from them and turn them in.

The main things you don't necessarily get with msq, especially in the later levels, is the accessories since a fair number of those are on side quests

So you have white birds going into the blue portal, and black birds going into red. You have the white buff to start with, so you get hit by the black birds. This makes you black, so you need to get hit by the white birds coming out of the blue side portal

Materia melder NPCs in cities can meld materia in the guaranteed slots. For overmelding you need to level up crafting to the necessary level for that item or request overmelds from someone else who does

@spiral scroll with Thunder proc you aim to use it as late as possible, ideally when thubder dot is about to fall. With Fire prox Pre Fire 4, use it when you get it. After Fire 4, you'll save it for movement and weaving and extending AF

it's ideal if you can manage to notice and react to the proc and use it in time before the next cast, but if it means delaying the next cast (or cancelling it) you should just cast the next spell, and if you overwrite the firestarter proc it's whatever
assuming you mean the AF then yes, you have to purchase or craft the gear augmentation, and then you can trade in the AF1 + that for a dyeable version

you can ping the data center/server IP in cmd or use resmon to get an idea of where your ping is. But really I wouldn't stress out too much about not being able to react quickly enough to firestarter procs, it's a relatively small thing and once you hit level 60 you never really end up relying on it again for a gain
