What's the best, most efficient way to use triple-cast? Do I use it whenever it's available? On special situations like when there is a lot of movement so I can get my spells out quicky? Other?

@shut sigil it's perfectly fine to prog raids and extremes with BLM. heck, I mean world first shadowbringers ultimate had a BLM so if you know what you're doing it's not impossible
however I recommend extensively learning your kit and understanding your rotation first and what is and isn't optimal

How does loot work in shb raids, trials and such? If I clear a normal raid once, am I locked out of loot for a day or something?

Trials don't have a loot lockout
for normal raids and 24-man raids, you get to loot one item per instance per week when they're relevant in terms of item level

Savage raids use a bit more of a complex system but this is basically how it works.
Once per week, you can clear each instance for a chance at winning anything from the coffer. You could get all the items or get none. You also always get a token item each week that can be exchanged for equipment from that instance.
If you skip an instance, you lose all chances of loot from the previous instances. So if you want to do Eden 8 Savage right away, simply entering the instance makes you lose out on all loot from Eden 5 to Eden 7 Savage, including the tokens that can be used to exchange for gear.
When you clear an instance with other people who cleared that week, less chests will spawn. If 1-4 people cleared that week then only one chest spawns, if more than 4 cleared then no loot drops. You still get the exchange token even if no chests spawn assuming that was your first clear for the week.

Hey can anyone help me determine why the launcher is super slow on my machine?
game is installed on an SSD
the launcher works faster on my Microsoft Surface and my bf's old laptop than it does on my beefy desktop
For example, when I enter my login credentials it kinda locks up for a bit before it proceeds whereas on those other machines it just moves onto the play button instantly

@leaden ginkgo not really, its pretty strongly recommended that new players pick preferred servers (they have a star next to them when selecting a server after character selection) for the exp bonus. Duty finder is cross server, and you can world visit to another server. Main things that are server locked are free companies (player guilds) and housing

Hunts spawn in the overworld, but S ranks have special conditions to spawn

The weekly is a single B rank, which are soloable if you know what you're doing (but are easier if you have a group because they're always max level for that expansion).
You've probably seen B rank hunts in the world. They have the special blue aggressive mob marker next to their names, and they're always named mobs.

I don't do savage content, I have 485 ruby weapon, however I am wondering if a 5iLvl increese to weapon will be worth it for 1000Allegory with a relic weapon coming up, or if I should spend the allegory on 490 armor instead

just basing this off of eureka, its likely that the relic weapon will be around the same ilvl as ruby weapon, and if they follow eureka, may have 5 assured slots
so if you're going to do relic weapon anyway, may as well use allegory on the gear instead of the weapon
but if you're not doing savage, then it really doesn't matter in the long run because the ilvl increase doesn't really make or break anything
