also if their aoes are inside the frog and thus not visible, you shouldnt get hit by it anyway, since you pretty much never stand directly inside a mob you have aggro from

thats essentially what you "should" do

follow the main story, pick up any bluequest you can find and do your class quests. crafting/gathering etc is sidecontent and should be done if you feel like it

your main damage and number of spells for BLM comes from fire spells yes, mainly Fire 4. Thunder ends up becoming something you upkeep but nothing you prioritize using procs on (at least for single target). At lower level the procs get a bit more frequent use. Mostly you just focus on the rough rotation and use stuff like thunder/xenoglossy when it makes sense to use them

it can depend a bit, it's not necessarily just about potency since there's also potential with getting a feather off of a proc. But generally at 3+ targets you'll ignore the single target procs unless there's one that has higher HP/is more of a priority target

If you’re that worried about dungeon queues you can try palace of the dead for leveling them up, as that has a fairly fast queue

So I'm trying to get back to where I was before in the game with the three healer classes and about to reach the level as arcanist where I can unlock scholar. I'm running into changes I didn't know about with summons, and just curious if there's any new or different strategy with fairies I might not be aware of besides that they can't be targetted or harmed.

@leaden ginkgo The blade is a bit tougher. If you want one that more matches the hilt then I'd say Sword of the Twin Thegns (Heavensward relic). If you want a blade that's orange in general then maybe the Empyrean Blade from Heaven-on-High.

I recommend taking a look through all the gladiator weapons in garland tools and see what fits best.

#

For base game jobs, you would do their hunting log, fates near their level, and maybe sidequests to get them to level 15 so they can spam dungeons and then do daily roulettes

#

There's also palace of the dead as an option to if you don't mind the grindy nature of it.

Standing behind is still easiest in that instance as if she goes wide cone > rear cone, you only need to move forward once. If she does the opposite, move forward then immediately back where you were. There's just enough of a gap to let you dodge both.

you're pre-50 so it's completely linear

just get whatever is the highest level stuff you can equip that has those stats

Also, you want to add Patience, Patient Hookset, and Powerful hookset to your bar. They used be learned at a higher level but are now at level 15.

so I have a question about Endoceras. I think I missed about three chances to catch it, because for whatever reason it kept getting away. My gathering stat is well over what is required. I did have Patience II on. So, I was wondering if I should have been using Precision Hookset on it instead of Powerful Hookset. I just kinda thought that all big fish required powerful hookset, but each time I tried with Endoceras (I'm assuming it was him) he escaped.

There's apartments as a bit of a compromise.
They're the same size as a private room (which is about the same size the the first floor of a small house), only cost 500k, a lot more of them exist per district, and you don't have to keep entering them to keep the estate

I just got shiniosaurus within like 5 catches, what the heck man. Big fish are so weird. I just need the ever elusive Endoceras and Nepto Dragon now. I've had so much trouble with Endoceras, from the weather just not lining up for me, or apparently me not catching it.

Yeah, I was just about to say that. I actually kinda purposefully slowed my exp gaining down. It's so easy to level Fisher. I wanted to actually finish the levequests, but then big fishing happened, and well, I'm level 80 now, and I'm still working on Kugane leves. =P
