AST has the Tarot Card mechanic. You'll be spending a fair amount of brainpower and time juggling your cards, lining up buffs on your allies

and having Regens rolling will make it easier to free up some time for yourself. In my personal experience, Noct Sect shields tend to be broken before your GCD fully cycles, so, whats the point even

But there are six cards that you can draw from at random, divided into two groups of three.

The three different parts in one group are Sun, Moon, and Star sigils

and each sigil has a melee/tank bonus or a ranged/healer bonus baked in.

That bonus is reduced if you cast the wrong 'flavor' of sigil on the wrong class of ally, but its never wasted - just suboptimal.

Once you get all three of the different sigils cast, you have a fully charged Divination, which is an aoe damage steroid buff for the party. That's the primary reason a group would bring an AST over a WHM

If you have questions about MNK and SAM, however, I have to defer to someone else, because my SAM isn't 80 and my MNK is still a pugilist lol

custom delivery are weekly things, you turn in up to 6 items to the npc for exp/gil/scrips

you can unlock zhloe/adkiragh in idyllshire, m'naago in rhaglr's reach, kurenai in ruby sea, and kai-shirr in eulmore

m'naago/kai-shirr have msq requirements, while kurenai and adkiragh have side quest requirements

the Yorha combat gear is random drops at the end of bossfights

but zhloe can be done starting at 55 iirc

They're a weekly thing, so while they give pretty chunky experience the main thing you're going to end up doing them for is the yellow/white scrips

Unfortunately there isn't a preview in the character creator for that, so you'd have to look up the sets online

Since Arcanist is the only class that splits into Summoner or Scholar, but when you select 'Arcanist' as your starter and tell it to show you the Job Gear, it assumes Summoner.

it's simply meant to be entry level gear to the current endgame 90% of the time

Scrimp and save and you'll passively accumulate gil. Invest into craftimg/gathering to earn more. Jump into treasure maps/eureka to gamble on rare loot that can be sold for high prices.

I’ve beaten the entire MSQ and leveled tons of classes...but I am still unsure about why I should do hunts.

Hunts give seals that can be spent on stuff like materia, minions/mounts, and upgrade materials for tomestone gear.

Hunts are another way to get gear upgrade mats for the tome gear. They also give access to some exclusive mounts and lots and lots of combat materias.

Typically the strat for eureka is to get carried by a kind soul during a "Notorious monster" train where you get tons of xp and the items to upgrade weapons/obtain the armor in pyro's case

It's a whole ass place on it's own so expect to sink time into it, there is a weekly challenge log specifically for Eureka which can get you a few extra levels weekly

Eureka consists of 4 open area's with a own leveling system.

You need to get to elemental level 35 at first to access Pyros and unlock/discover at least 50 Logo's actions to unlock the shop for that armor.

You do need the "special currency" (Pyros Crystals) there to buy it. So Elemental level 49 is almost required.

Normal Observe is pretty niche, mainly for if you get a Poor Condition on the step where you would do your big quality-increasing move

The improved version does the same, but keeps your buffs intact by not having them go down by one step.

Because there are conditions that change randomly each step and yeah..Poors always follow an excellent and if you do a touch on it then it'll lower the quality made and that can really really suck depending on what skill you're using at that point

Their delay is longer than the gcd so you actually use skills slower if they are macros which is a DPS loss

so if you have more than one action in the macro and you try to use another ability, the macro will mess up

Then Ishgard all the way up to 60

Oh tip 4) really don't forget ALL your dailies for crafting. Grand company turn ins, beast tribe quests, custom deliveries (okay this one is unlocked at a higher level and it's weekly but it counts!) etc

so skybuilders' plywood requires 50 min

except you don't need to worry about it maxing out hq bar to get the most out of it

if you look at the bottom of the screenshot, where it says "reward" the highest collectability you need is 1320 for max reward

yes, old nodes are gone. phase 1 crafts aren't really worth doing

p1 crafts give 1 scrip now, ps2 give good scrips/better exp than p1 crafts
