But seriously. Right click sort if you're just looking to quickly classify everything in the active inventory/armory/saddlebag/retainer space. Or if you're looking to get things even more organized, only deposit specific types of items onto certain retainers.

Like I have one retainer dedicated to low level gear, one to tomestone/raid gear, one to crafting materials, and one to ShB gear, materials, and materia.

Yeah the only macros I feel comfortable to endorse are raise macros so you can tell the party who you are raising, ground based aoes like salted earth to cast it quicker, and probably something like weird astro card macro systems to put cards on people easier.

I haven't seen any delays when using my "cooldown timer" macros, which are just /ac and then /wait until the cd is up to /echo a <se> at me

I have cd /echo macros to tell me when Thin Air, Temperance, and Lucid Dreaming are off cd.

Yeah. I find them useful because it lets me put an audible cue (you don't have to use <se. 1>, there are something like 24 effects, and I use a different effect for each spell) so I don't have to keep monitoring my longer cds to know I have them available.

Generally not good to combine multiple actions in a single macro, due to the wait timer. If anything I’d just have raise in a macro by itself with a message saying who you’re raising

The trick with the /wait is to make sure to not cast anything else until you're certain its executed properly.

In 2-healer content, that's usually fine because the other healer can pick up the slack.

It can be a little sketchier in 1-healer content though, so you have to be careful about it.

It was mentioned in discussion earlier that the best use of macros is 1.) on Raise to let people know who you're reviving, 2.) as a cooldown alert with /echo, or 3.) to cast a spell (particularly ground effects) on a specific target.

Basically, you want to make sure to not get hit by any AoEs the boss does or a rune on the ground will light up, which powers up one of her attacks.

#

If all enough runes are lit up then it will most likely kill everyone, with 3 usually being enough to kill people depending on aetherpool levels

@robust magnet Follow the meld priorities for your class. The general tank one is SkS to desired GCD tier if needed > Crit > DH if you don't play warrior > Det

Healers want Piety to comfort level > Spell Speed to desired GCD (I think Scholar wants like 2.42 or something) > Crit > Det or DH depending on how confident you feel in your healing

Info

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Hey so I am playing AST and I'm noticing that the cards are slightly different than they use to be from when I played AST? Now they don't seem to give atkspd or inc dmg or dmg reduction they all just give more damage. Is that right or am I like stuck in some old version of AST somehow?

and don't forget, /gpose uses the last action you did. i.e. if you're a WHM and you cast Cure before g-posing, then the repeated animation will be Cure's.
if you wanna reset it to the idle one, make sure you sit before you gpose

So Glamour plates, they seem to be resetting. I click on [Glamour plate1] Then I apply and update on the job/class I want to save my glamour to!

But then I go to do the same thing on another job/class for [Glamour plate 2] and apply and update it does keep the glamour however it won't once I've swapped back to the other job/class I've got [Glamour plate 1] on.

And no, before you say "can you even use this glamour or is it the right level etc" Yes I have checked. Because all the glamours work for all job/classes they just don't save

If the jobs are in the same gear category (e.g. Scholar and White Mage), and you have the same equipped gear saved to both sets, you're overwriting the glamours by doing that.

To be sure, can you explain a little better what your problem is though? Are the glamour plate sets not saving or are you not seeing the plates applied correctly?
