so I tried out NIN and MNK to 80, and I like MNK because there are a lot of things to do all the time but I hate maintaining GL, which other job is similar to it?

so if you heal them too early and they want to like, invuln a longer mechanic then you can get rid of their invuln and kill them

@fallen chasm There are a few ways depending on whether your solo or in a group. If you're solo, common understanding is to simply AoE the adds while trying to kill the boss faster than you die. If in group content, usually you'll want to switch to the adds and burn them down before returning to focusing the boss (AoE can also be used to make this process faster).

ARR dungeons follow very simple principles so you can probably get away with just a baseline "kill adds then go back to boss" mindset

As for being able to see the boss HP when targeting another mob, at the left side of your screen (default) just under the party list, there will be a list of all adds with which you are currently in combat. This includes the boss.

@fallen chasm Combat in XIV is pretty straightfoward too. You'll pick up more nuance over time, as with any other game, but in its most basic form it shouldn't be significantly different than any other video game.
@rare sable It sounds like you experienced the mechanic in E5 exactly as it's meant to be experienced. Which is why I'm confused as to the problem you think you're having.
For the center knockback, everyone gets knocked back and rolls on the ground. For the add knockbacks, if you're in line with one of them, you get knocked off the platform.

The only failure point for the mechanic is not getting knocked back the right amount/from the right spot, or moving too soon to get hit by the charge (technically also taking a vuln stack from not having an orb for big knockback is a failure too but it won't kill you)

When you fully upgrade the ARR relic, you can buy a replica that can be put in the glamour chest. I don't know about the HW relic though.
At level 30 THM, you should have a class quest that unlocks BLM.

If you want to do crafting you should really do all the crafters at once. They all use materials that all the other crafters make
You can't just pick one crafter and level that without having to spend loads on materials when you decide to make something

At level 80 its fine to have it if you have no gear before but eventually you will want to upgrade to facet gear with melds for BiS

@topaz sequoia that's the starter edition which goes through level 50. if you want the expansions which get you up to level 80 there's the complete edition
