Sprout icon goes away when you hit level 70 or have played a certain number of hours. I forget the exact number, but it's over 100. You can turn it off, but it turns itself back on automatically.

@slow plover sort of, but not exactly. When you first get it, that's more or less the way you treat it. At 60 you get royal authority, which is the actual upgraded rage of halone. Then you go between applying the DoT with goring blade combo, then use royal authority combo as filler between DoT reapplications

@winged pond most things, especially very early game, are easygoing and straightforward for any role, You can get by early dungeons without tank, or even without healer, it just makes it easier/smoother if you do. So even if you don't know the dungeon/fights, you'll be plenty fine--just try to actively use mitigation, keep top threat on mobs and face them away from the party, etc
and feel free to let people know that you're newer to an instance, if you're not feeling confident--people will often give a bit of advice if there's anything out of the ordinary to know

you won't get any loot, and you count against the number of people that have cleared for the week in determining coffers that appear (like if you join in on a 2-chest clear you'll make them end up with 1-chest)

I own both a private house and an FC house and I'm aware that an alt cannot also own a house. My question is this:
If I continue to own the FC house on my main but relinquish the house...can my alt bypass the RNG timer on purchasing a plot of land for himself?
I ask because I was able to walk up and buy an FC house on my main after I already owned a personal one and I know housing is account-bound.

the roleplay community is also here, which i love. people come up with some really cool stuff for their characters. the amount of fanmade original content churned out by the ffxiv roleplay community is kind of absurd. events every weekend. it's rad.
people say that Crystal is bad for PVE, but what it really is is the raiding scene here is very small. we had a mass exodus to the other two datacenters last year, and while we're slowly rebuilding you see fewer parties for high-end raids than on the other two NA datacenters
so if you are the type of person who likes to do organized super-hard group content, you could either consider going to Primal and Aether, which have bigger raiding scenes, or you could settle here anyway and help grow a much smaller scene.

They can’t be unsynced and technically can’t be over geared
The technically part comes from having high enough item level gear that the stat sync basically makes both secondary stats maxed out

The reason that Gil is the best way to buy gear right now is it is the best way to gear up with the least amount of time investment
If you don't have Gil, and don't have any crafters, it is not recommended to go for that route
For now, just continue your MSQ (this is very important) and cap your weekly Allegory Tomestone
You should farm a lil bit of Phantasma Tomestone to gear up
Phantasma Tomestone doesn't have weekly limit and it can be used to acquire ilvl 460 gears (can be further improve to 470)
It is good enough to participate in some of the endgame raidings

You only do leveling once a day, as the daily bonus is the only reason to do it experience-wise

RDM is good for progressing through new fights when they’re fresh due to the fast rez potential

The buffs 5.2 gave them put them right around the middle of the pack in DPS according to FFlogs, so they're not as bad in damage as they were originally

only jarring thing for me with RDM is the reversed order of their single target rotation for AoE

If you are level 60 exactly for example, you want to go for lvl 59 dungeon for exp
50/60/70 dungeons were endgame dungeons when they were released and they didn't give exp at the time.
They were adjusted to give exp once a new expansion is released but exp was not as good

generally the reason why syrup is so good was because the MB price was low enough for materials you could get the cost back in collectible reward but well bots fucked that part up so you'll have to watch your gil
